Who We Are
Manna Food Center achieves its mission through three main programs. Food for Families offers each qualified household approximately 60 pounds of perishable and non-perishable food every 30 days. Manna's Smart Sacks weekend bag program operates in 60 elementary schools and feeds over 2,450 children each week. Each weekend, participating students receive bags of nutritious items, including whole grains, low sodium canned vegetables, lean proteins and healthier snack items. Through the Community Food Rescue (CFR) network, Manna partners with other County hunger relief organizations, volunteers and businesses to match surplus food with people who can use it.
What We Do
Funds generously contributed through the MCPS Cares employee charity campaign will be used to support the programs and services of Manna Food Center, making an impact in the fight against hunger across Montgomery County.
