2020 -2021 GIVE BACKpacks Campaign Distributes More than 26,000 Kits

Thanks to generous support of the community, the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) GIVE BACKpacks campaign supported 26,111 students during the 2020-2021 school year.

Joseph Bostic, Jr. Wins 2021 MCPS Teacher of the Year and a Car

On April 28, 2021, Joseph Bostic, Jr., a math teacher at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School, was named the 2021 Montgomery County Public Schools Teacher of the Year. On June 18, 2021, he claimed one of his prizes: a one-year lease on a brand new car.

MCPS Educational Foundation Launches Dine with Dignity Sponsorship Program

The MCPS Educational Foundation launched its newest campaign towards helping every student to dine with dignity: the Dine with Dignity Sponsorship Program. Now as a school sponsor, you can cover the cost of the annual school lunch debt for an entire school starting at just $2.80 per month. 

A New Kind of Green for Young Golfers Care

Young Golfers Care, a non-profit organization for young golf enthusiasts, donated the proceeds from its fundraising golf clinics to the GIVE BACKpacks campaign.

No Argument About Dynamic Debate's Generosity

Using a portion of the proceeds from its debate tutoring classes, Dynamic Debate, a student-run business, contributed over $3,000 to two of the MCPS Educational Foundation’s campaigns: GIVE BACKpacks and Dine with Dignity.

MCPS "Trifecta" Raises Over $50,000 for Families

"Families Helping Families," the COVID-19 Crisis Relief Response fundraising campaign, surpassed its $50,000 fundraising goal!
